Holly Tour proceeds benefit the Friends of Mount Vernon
Place the all-volunteer civic group focusing specifically
on the maintenance and restoration of the four park squares,
which are based on the London residential squares of
the Georgian period. During the past year, Friends of Mount
Vernon Place has addressed
several critical lighting and usage issues, seeded and
planted during spring and fall and enlivened the parks
with successful weekend yoga classes and a weekday outdoor
movie series. The Friends of Mount Vernon
Place depends on and thanks its volunteers
for their generosity of both spirit and time.
The group offers several opportunities to be involved including
serving on a committee for planting and maintenance, programs,
and special events like the annual Holly Tour. Watch for
our new website and member communications site to go live
by the first of the year.
